The fly fishing lake has now been restocked and is reopening on Saturday 5th November.

Thursday 29th September 2016 - 29 Sep 2016

Due to unforeseen circumstances we will have to delay the reopening for a short while.

August 5th 2016 - 05 Aug 2016

The fly fishing lake will be closed until further notice due to the warm weather and low oxygen levels.

Tuesday 2nd August - 02 Aug 2016

We will be closed on Sunday 7th August as the lake has been privately booked. The coarse lake will remain open and is fishing really well with some beautiful carp being caught.

Saturday 16th July - 16 Jul 2016

Restocked on Friday with Rainbow blue and brown trout, ranging from 2-6 pounds. Fishing really well on dry fly or just under the surface.

Fishery update 14/05/16 - 14 May 2016

We will be closed on Saturday 21st May and Thursday 26th May due to private events being held at the farm.

The fishery has started off really well after being closed for so long with most of the anglers catching there fish limits and many more.

An update on the rules; Barbless hooks should be used at all times and when purchasing a day ticket after the 2 fish limit you are able to carry on fishing on catch and release.


We are reopening the fishery on Saturday 30th April at 7:00am.

The revised prices are as follows:

£20 per day for a sporting ticket
£25 per day for a day ticket (2 fish)

The lakes have recently been restocked with fish up to 5lbs and will be stocked in two weeks with fish up to 12lbs to 15lbs.

Any fish over 4lbs must be returned to the lakes.

Fishing Update - 27/03/2016 - 27 Mar 2016

We are hoping to restock the lakes at the beginning of April therefore will open from the middle to end of April.

Updates will be available from the end of the first week of April to let you know if we have successfully been able to open.

Fishing lakes are likely to remain closed for the next 8 weeks, hoping to open again in early October. Will keep you updated.

June 21st 2015 - 20 Jun 2015

The trout fishing lake continues to stay closed due to problems further up the river. The coarse fishing lake is also closed as it has been rented out to a private syndicate for a year. I will update as soon as we are able to reopen.

Tuesday 16th June - 16 Jun 2015

The fishing is closed for the next few days due to low oxygen levels.

Fishing Update: 27/05/2015 - 27 May 2015

The fishermen have continued to enjoy some great fishing, many catching on black and silver, green buzzer, green damson and cats whisker.

Re- stocking every week, so plenty of fish about!

Fishing Update (21/05/2015) - 21 May 2015

This season has been very busy so far, it may be advisable to book for weekends or bank holidays. Many large fish have been caught, including one fish weighing 17lbs!

Next week on Wednesday 27th May, we have a young farmers meeting, there could be 20 plus people around the lake having fishing tuition from around 7.00pm till 9.00pm in the evening. Therefore, could you avoid this time please.

Fishing Update (12/03/2015) - 12 Mar 2015

New stocking policy: Fish now range from 1.5lbs to 12lbs,however, we are asking all fisherman that when they catch any fish over 4lbs not to kill these please.

We have some images of some large recently caught fish that will be added in due course.

The lakes have been fishing really well, and we have had some great feedback from many fisherman!

Fishing Update (22/08/14) - 22 Aug 2014

Lakes are looking good and fishing well. Catching on Cat's Whisker and Hot Head Nymph. Restocked today with one hundred rainbow trout.

Fishing update - August 21st 2013 - 21 Aug 2013

During March, April and May we were having very good reports from the many fisherman we had visit Alton Manor. Some were catching up to 30 fish of good quality and size.

After the long hot summer the fishery has been closed for a few weeks. We have just had all the lake cleared of almost all of the weed to allow better fishing.

We are having the lake re- stocked on Friday, so looking forward to some more good fishing.
